I wanted to share some information with you on dermal fillers, which is one of the premier services we provide at Bare N Beautiful. First, let’s discuss lips. Several clients shared their desire to have fuller lips, but they are concerned with the outcome of lip fillers. Let me dispel some myths about lip filler.
We strive to achieve beautiful lips very naturally, and enhancing the natural beauty of the lips brings a refreshed appearance. When we do lip enhancements, special attention is given to matching the lips with other features of the face. Volume, projection, proportion, definition, and symmetry are key aesthetic characteristics we focus on as lips are injected.
When clients come in for lip enhancements, I initially discuss treatment goals with the client. This is very important to ensure the outcomes are realistic and provide the results the clients desire.
Dermal fillers can also be placed in other areas of the face to help with aging. As we age, bone density is lost in the face, the skin also loses elasticity, and we see fine lines and wrinkles. Dermal fillers are then used to hydrate and plump the skin. Treatments around the mouth and at the corners can be used to decrease vertical lip lines. Fillers can be placed along the cheekbones to help build the volume that has been lost. As you increase the volume in the cheek area, sagging skin in the lower face is lifted. This volume increase helps improve laxity at the jawline.
Another use for filler is injections in the skin folds between the nose and mouth. (See Image 4.)
